What Is This Site?

Homeless Denver is an independent, public-interest technology project. It is not a government agency, not affiliated with any shelter, and not a legal or medical service provider.

This site collects, organizes, and publishes practical resource information for people experiencing homelessness in Denver — including shelter, food, hygiene, outreach, transit, crisis services, legal help, and more.

Who Maintains It?

Homeless Denver is maintained by — an independent technologist, writer, and researcher based in Colorado.

William built this project to apply public-interest technology principles to a real, urgent local need. The project combines publicly available data, official source verification, and lived-experience perspective to make resource information more accessible.

Why Does This Exist?

People experiencing homelessness in Denver need practical, current, accurate information about where to find help. Existing resources are scattered across dozens of agency websites, outdated PDFs, and social media posts. This project organizes that information into one structured, searchable, plain-language guide.

It also exists to demonstrate how public-interest web tools can serve communities that are often underserved by digital infrastructure.
